The content of lead in red festuce (Festuca rubra L.) collected from the neighborhood of urban streets and local roads, as well as from the permanent meadows studied. It was found that the grass growing up to 3 m away from the street contained more lead than the normative for fodder. Grass collected from the site 15-30 m away from the streets could be used for animals, butthe influence of the motorization was still evident. Red festuce originating from the meadows was completely safe as a fodder for animals the least amount of lead
