Nutritional value of hay from meadow communities in Wyznica river valley

The aim of the study was to evaluate the fodder value referring to macroelement contents (N, P, K, Ca, Mg) in 15 assotiations and communities of plants in Wyznica river valley. The high differentiation of particular component contents in hay depending on habitat, community and cut was found. Mean values for all communities showed deficiency of total nitrogen level in relation to animal nutritional requirements, optimum contents of phosphorus and magnesium, and variable levels of potassium and calcium
