Meadow fodder in summer feeding of the dairy cattle

The nine representative farms of dairy production were analysed and the results are presented in this paper. The structure of arable lands, share of fodder crops in the cropping area, cattle population were discussed and thus pasture area was calculated. As compared datas from 2000 to 1995, farms were larger referring to their area, due to purchase or land tenure, amounting to 17-41 ha at present. Potato cultivation was replaced by maize that, along with greenlands, is a fodder area occupying 54 percent of arable lands, on average
