The aim of the work was to assess content level of alpha-, beta- and gamma-HCH aldrine, dieldrine, heptachlorine, p,p'-DDT and its derivatives as well as idicative, planar and coplanar PCB's in 7 types of plant oils of national production and 8 types of imported oils. Surveys were conducted by the capillary gas chromatography method done by the GC Varian type Star 3400 CX apparatus equiped with Ni63 electron capture detector. The lowest contents of the analysed compounds were noted for the cold pressed sunseed oil and the highest contents found in the cold pressed pumpkin seed oil. The toxicity equivalents ranged from 0.0033 to 0.0526 microgram/kg
