Ileal and total digestibility of amino acids in feeds used in mink and polar fox nutrition
2001
Szymeczko, R. (Academy of Technology and Agriculture, Bydgoszcz (Poland). Dept. of Animal Physiology)
The presented results clearly show lower values of The apparent digestibility of nitrogen and amino acids in the small intestine than in the whole digestive tract of mink and polar foxes fed on diets with raw and dry protein sources. After the diets containing fresh meat (fish or fish and beef) methionine and lysine were the amino acids with the highest digestibility. Cysteine and threonine had the lowest ileal and total digestibility values of all the tested sources of protein
