A pot experiment with the naked oat Akt variety and hulled oat Bajka variety was carried out. The experiment aimed at determining the accumulation of some heavy metals in oat plants after applying the 5 percent dose of fly-ash. A concentration of copper, cadmium, manganese, zinc, lead and nickel was determined using AAS method (in straw, root and grain). The content of copper, manganese and nickel in grains of ash plants contained in limits of natural concentration of those elements. The concentration of cadmium, zinc and lead determined for grain in ash treatments of both varieties exceeded values corresponding with those for natural environment
