During the research, buckwheat seeds and their sowing characteristics and yielding abilities are studied to determine agro-biological specific features of yield formation and high seed quatity under the conditions of southern Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. As a result, the impact of sowing dates, preceding crops, the system of applying fertilizers and agro-meteorological conditions on forming buckwheat yields and structure elements is examined. The efficiency of improving the technology of growing buckwheat for seeds is determined. To form high quality buckwheat seeds, optimum preceding crops, systems of fertilizer application and sowing dates are suggested
