[Development and utilization of parent material in breeding the varieties of southern hemp free of drug characteristics]

Biological mechanism of the formation of fibrous and ligneous contents in hemp in ontogenesis is disclosed and their correlation in a stem is studied. In high-fibrous varieties the increase of fibrous content is found out not to result in the reduction of the ligneous one. Thus, lodging resistance of the crop did not suffer. The degree of changeability of quantity characteristics of different varieties as well as their interrelationship are studied. The efficiency of selection to develop parent material is shown. The hemp varieties Dniprovski odnodomni (monoecious) 14 and Synelnykivski odnodomni (monoecious) 3 are developed
