Studies on potassium supplying capacities of diffrent soils. II. Mehlich-3 extraction

Two soils with different properties in pot experiment with reygrass were used in the investigation. Six harvest were taken. Three extractants for predicting crop response to K-Mehlich-3, 0,01 M CaCl2 and acetate-lactate method (P. Ivanao) and the potassium uptake were compared using regression techniques. The results show that for both soil types it is possible to use 1-st order equation for regression analyses. There were no significant differences among the Mehlich-3 and 0,01 CaCl3 extracts. For the fluvisoil Mehlich-3 seems to be best among these three extractants for predicting crop response to K. Close correlation between Mehlich-3 and 0.01 M CaCL2 were also confirmed.
