By using hyperimmune positive sera from Switzerland and Bulgaria a micro virus neutralization test was developed and used for finding the presence of caprine herpes virus. The diagnostic value of micro virus neutralization test (MVNT) for antibody detection against caprine herpes virus was studied. 1134 serum samples originating from eight country regions were investigated by the test and 34,4% distribution of infection was determined. The highest distribution of the infection was determined in Lovetch (68,3%), followed by Blagoevgrad (55,3%) and Kustendil (33,9%) regions.
