Investigation of impurities and losses during kavender harvestinng with straight cutting units

The paper presents investigation of losses and impurities resulting from lavender harvesting with straight cutting units. To this end, relationship were established of impurity % in yield and raceme loss % in the total mass to be collected. Also, relationships were derived of losses and impurities depending on harvesting height. It was established that impurities and losses are minimal with minimum width of plant flexion caused by stem-raiser during cutting. The height was calculated of optimal ration of impurity and loss percentage.
