Influence of oxidized and reduced nitrogen found in substratum in ion-exchange form on yield and its quality has been studied. It is shown that ammonia nitrogen ensures high intensity of productivity processes. Concentration of nitrates in verdure under ammonia feeding is 1.5-2.0 fold lower than under nitrate feeding. However, the content of vitamins (ascorbic acid, carotene, PP) was higher under ammonia feeding
