Characteristics of zooplankton of breeding ponds is given. The European one-summer-old sheat-fishes were reared as monoculture. It is revealed that real fish production in the both ponds was substantially lower than aclculated potential one, which testifies on under-utilization of zooplankton by young sheat-fishes
