Ascorbic acid and leuko-form of riboflavin releases nitric oxide from S-nitrosoglutathione at the neutral and acid medium. GSH releases NO from S-nitrosoglutathione only at acidic media. Destruction of S-nitrosoglutathione by ascorbic acid and riboflavin yield GSH, and interaction of GSH with S-nitrsoglutathione yield oxidized glutathione as a final product
