The influence of Azotobacter chroococcum on the activity of nitrogenase under potato plant

In this work the activity of nitrogenase in the rhizosphere of potatoes sorts, Lizeta and Latona, inoculated with strains of Azotobacter chroococcum was examined as well as activity of nitrogenase in the rhizosphere of the both varieties of potatoes fertilized with different quantities of NPK fertilizers, without inoculation. The examined strains of azotobacter, as well as the usage of NPK fertilizers and the period of vegetation, had a significant influence on the activity of nitrogenase. The highest degree of the activity of nitrogenase occurred the variants with inoculation, and the lowest in the variants with fertilization with the highest doses of NPK fertilizers and without inoculation.
