The impact of land tenure in tree planting and management is directly related to the current policy of Ethiopia. The natural resource degradation and the low level of investment in land improvement could be some of the root causes that are directly connected with the land tenure issues in the country. The role of tradition and culture attached to homestead tree planting and the role of household members in tree management system gave due how property ownership played role in decision-making considered.
