Fruit development and production estimation of rambutan fruit

英语. The objectives of this research were to predict the production of rambutan fruit before harvest through fruit development and fruitset percentage. This research was conducted at Aripan Research Institute for Fruit Crops, about 413 m above sea level from May 1996 to January 1997. Twenty rambutan trees were chosen by random sampling (10 trees of Binjai variety and 10 trees of Lebak Bulus variety, age 5 to 8 years). The blossom sample were chosen by purposive. The variables observed were number of flower bud, blossom, fruitset, and mature fruit. The result indicated that fruit development from flower bud initiation to mature fruit was 142-165 days. Total fruitset and mature fruit were 4.69 percent and 1.12 percent for Binjai variety and 2.92-6.08 percent and 0.96-1.39 percent for Lebak Bulus variety. Whereas fruit production were 20-21 kg/tree for Binjai variety and 43-51 kg/tree for Lebak Bulus variety, and 41-48 kg/tree on the second observation

印度尼西亚. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperkirakan jumlah produksi sebelum panen melalui tahapan-tahapan terjadinya buah rambutan dan persentase bunga menjadi buah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Aripan, Balai Penelitian Tanaman Buah Solok dengan ketinggian 413 m dpl, mulai bulan Mei 1996 sampai dengan Januari 1997. Penentuan contoh yang diamati adalah acak sederhana dengan menentukan 20 pohon tanaman, terdiri dari varietas Binjai 10 pohon dan varietas Lebak Bulus 10 pohon yang berumur 5 sampai 8 tahun. Penentuan contoh bunga ditentukan secara sengaja. Peubah yang diamati jumlah kuncup, bunga, pentil, dan buah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tahapan terjadinya buah diawali dengan munculnya kuncup, bunga, pentil, dan buah yang membutuhkan waktu 142-165 hari. Pada varietas Binjai persentase bunga menjadi pentil 4,69 persen dan menjadi buah 1,12 persen dengan produksi antara 20-21 kg per pohon. Sedang pada varietas Lebak Bulus persentase bunga menjadi pentil 2,92-6,08 persen dan menjadi buah antara 0,96-1,39 persen dengan produksi Lebak Bulus pada pengamatan pertama antara 43-51 kg per pohon dan pada pengamatan kedua antara 41-49 kg per pohon
