A field experiment was conducted during the rahi season of 1998-99. to study the influence of potassium nutrition on morphological and physiological parameters in barley genotypes. Successive increase in potassium levels had significant effect on growth parameters such as plant height. tillers per plants. leaf age per plant. functional leaves per plant and leaf areaper plant at all the three main growth stages. Potassium nutrition had highly significant effect on chlorophyll content in flag leaf. Barley genotypes also differed significantly with regard to these growth parameters because of their genotypic variation in our study.
