The main purpose of this study was to estimate the genetic variability in productive and reproductive traits in AFC, SLY and ICP of purebred HF breed. The records were adjusted for significant non-genetic effects by multiclicative factors derived from the present data using least squares methodology. The data on sired having minimum of four daughters were further analyzed to estimate the genetic parameter. The effect of sires had significant effect on AFC and SLY and warrants intense selection of sires for effective reduction of Age at First Calving.
