Pups were vaccinated with combined vaccine (Megavac 6) containing Canine Distemper, Canine Hepatitis, Canine parvo, Rabies, L. canicola and L. icterohaemorragiae antigens. The serum samples were collected on 0, 90, 180, 360, 540 and 720 days post vaccination (dpv) to assess the serum antibody response to different components incorporated in the combined vaccine. The serum antibody titres on 720 dpv against CDV and CAV were 2.2, 2.0, log10SN50 respectively and the HI titer against CPV was 600. The rabies antigen elicited satisfactory immune response and the titers on 720 dpv were 2.9 IU/ml. The serological rsponse to L. canicola and L. icterohaemorrhagiae was protective and the titers were 700 and 725 respectively on 720 dpv. The present study revealed that the pups can possess protective antibody titres for a period of two years with a primary vaccination followed by booster dose administered after one month with combined vaccine.
