Seroprevalence of infectious bovine rhinotracheitis in cattle population of Kerala

Seroprevalence of IBR was studied in cattle population of Kerala using AB-ELISA. A seropositivity of 14.88 percent was found. Heigher seroprevalence was found in animals aged above three years of age, animals that had a parity of two or more, and crossbreads of Holestein Friesian. Results indicated the establishment of IBR infection among cattle population of Kerala and stresses the need for control this emerging disease.
