A case of rectal prolapse in a donkey

Rectal prolapse may occur secondary to chromic straining and is fairly subtle in equine species. Straining which increases th abdominal pressure results from an inflammation of the bowel. This communication reports a successful clinical nanagement of rectal prolapse in the donkey.
