Propolis Collected from Several Regions of Korea: Some Parameters for Quality Control

Propolis samples were collected in 44 regions of Republic of Korea. Mean water and wax contents of the crude propolis were 3.8 (¡¾1.22)% and 31.8 (¡¾12.88)%, respectively. The negative correlation (r= -0.678) was observed between the wax content and the yield of EEP (Ethanol Extracted Propolis). The contents of flavonoids in the EEP were distributed in a wide range of 5.3¡51.1 mg/g.
