Chromosomal Analysis of Mitosis and Meiosis in Korean Striped Field Mouse (Apodemus agrarius)

The karyotype of Korean striped field mouse (Apodemus agrarius) at mitosis was analysed by G-banding and C-banding. Meiotic chromosomal characteristics were also examined through diplotene, diakinesis, metaphase¥° and spermatogenesis. Chromosome number in Apodemus agrarius was 2n=48, comprising 21 pairs of telocentric, 2 pairs of metacentric, and 1 pair of acrocentric.
