Sero-epidemiological study of leptospirosis in cattle and buffaloes

Serum samples were collected from 400 buffaloes and 400 cattle maintained at Livestock Production Research Institute, Bahadurnagar, Okara. The serum samples were subjected to serological test to detect the presence of antibodies against leptospira. The incidence in cattle and buffaloes was recorded to be 8.75% and 10%, respectively, with an overall incidence of 9.38%.
