The results presenting in the paper cover a further recognition of antinutritive properties of rye arabinoxylans in young broiler chickens, associated with their viscous and water holding properties and also with the specific function of gastrointestinal tract in these birds. There also indicated the possibilities and the ways of enhancement of the nutritive value of rye through the selection of hybrid breeding materials combined with the supplementation of diets based on selected rye with appropriate exogenous enzymes
