In the years 2000-01 quality of sweet cherry fruits of Kordia cultivar budded on three types of rootstock (Mazzard, P-HL B and P-HL A) were studied. Material to study was obtained from the trees planted in the spring 1997 on lessive soil. The aim of the study was to determine the influence of chosen rootstocks on the colour of fresh fruits and mean weight of 1 fruit. Also total sugar, total acidity and total sugar/total acidity ratio were studied in both in fresh and frozen fruits after 6 months of cold storage. In both analysed years sweet cherries of P-HL A rootstock characterized more intensive colour of fruits, and higher total sugar content than of the other rootstocks. The fruits obtained from wild cherry rootstock showed the lowest acidity and the highest total sugar/total acid ratio
