Biological methods include a number of tests and analyses of very differential character - from the simple bio-tests and application of indicatory organisms, through enzymatic, microbiological and genetic markers, up to very specialized measurement techniques e.g. using of biosensors. In all these methods the living organisms, their parts or elements of cellular metabolism are used to measurements. Elaborated and proposed indicators may be used for scientfic and utilitarian purposes
