Calculation of optimal nitrogen supply for maize using the SPAD test

The objective of the study was to calculate the maize optimal nitrogen supply using the SPAD test in relation to the variety and data of measurement. The maize plants were sampled for chlorophyll content readings (SPAD), and evaluated for dry matter yields and N content in 10 days intervals. Tested cultivars varied for chlorophyll content (SPAD) over the years and locations. Varieties LG2244 and Costella at Baborowko and LG2244 and Dragon at Grabow characterized with the highest readings of chlorophyll content
