[The state of fishery at a territory polluted with radionuclides]

Characterized are the mean indices of radioactive contamination of fish bodies with 137Cs (1997-1998) in certain fishery enterprises of the Kyiv oblast. Concentrations of 137Cs in organs and tissues of the fish bodies (carps, crucian carps etc.) is given. The available forms of 137Cs in different types of the bottom sediments of water reservoirs in Ukraine's Rivne and Zhytomyr oblasts are analyzed. The highest coefficient of distribution for both 137Cs, an adsorbtion mechanism of the ion exchange, and 90Sr is noticed in the clay silt. Based on experimental data, determined are the levels of radioactive contamination of the fishes and developed are proper recommendations
