[Accumulation of the heavy metal ions in the ecosystem of the Kyiv Reservoir]

In order to determine the ecological state of the Kyiv Water Reservoir in 2001 investigated was hydrochemical condition thereof. Analyzed are the presence of lead, zinc, cobalt in water and in organs and tissues of bream, roach and other river fishes, the content of heavy metals and accumulation of the ions in tissues thereof as compared with the concentration in water. By carrying out the investigations, found out is lead and cobalt ions concentration, which is lower than the standard one and stands at 5.3 and 1.3 mkg per litre (maximum permissible concentration (MPC) is 10 mkg per litre), zinc concentration is larger by 1.7 times (16.8). A lead ions concentration in the bream's skin was higher than the MPC by 1.5-2.0 times and in the roach - by 1.3. The zinc content in the bream's gills (4-year individuals) was higher than the MPC by 2.7 times, in the skin (7-8-year individuals) - 1.3, in the roach's gills 1.9 and the skin by 1.3 times. The cobalt content in the bream's gills was higher than the tolerances by 1.9 (7-year individuals), in kidneys - 1.1 (4-year individuals), in the skin - 2.3-3.7, in the roach's gills - 1.2 times (5-year individuals), in the liver - 1.5-1.2, in the skin - by 1.4 times. The cobalt content in the bream's gills exceeded the tolerances by 1.9 (7-year individuals), in kidneys 1.1 (4-year individuals), in the skin - by 2.3 -3.7 times; in the roach's gills - by 1.2 (5-year individuals), in the liver - 1.5-1.2, in the skin - by 1.4 times
