Survey on effects of doses of nitrogen, phosphorous, potasium and zinc on yield components of maize seed production field for single cross
2002
Le Van Dung
Survey on effects of macro and micro nutritions yield components of maize production field for a single cross (LVN10) was conducted by using chemical analysis of samples in different fields in 2001 in North Vietnam. Results of maize during grain filling stage (unfilled) were found to be as high as double of that for a normal field (fully filled). The same pattern was found for nitrogen and phosphorous in stem, leaves and kernels during grain filling stage. High content of Zn detected in the abnormal maize field ould be related to the high rate of application of phosphorous and water logging, resulting in distorted maize cobs which were unsilked.
