African ostrich in the first generation showed good growth, foudness of running and jumping, big body (body weight of 90-100 kg at 10 months old) and goed meat quality (crude protein content of 20.87 percent, and crude lipid of 0.9 percent) if being reared under good conditions. The ostrich is infested with intestinal diseases, yolk inflammation, tendon weakness, etc. Unidentified diseases are about 21 percent of total diseases.
