Angelov, J. (Institut po Rastitelni Genetichni Resursi, Sadovo (Bulgaria))
The study presents a short comparative characteristic of the quality composition of protein and the glucosinolates content in eight advanced winter oilseed rape cultivars, cultivated in our country. It was found that the standard cultivar Elvis has the lowest protein content in the seeds - 259,3 g/kg DM. All of the examined cultivars are suitable for edible oil production as the oil is oleic-linoleic type and has a low erucic acid content (under 0,5%). The produced groats have low glucosinolates content - from 12,5 to 19,1 mmol/g, corresponding to the requirements of EU.
