The combination of extracellular compounds from microalgae and synthetic PGRs producted more fresh weight and regenerated shoot numbers than both controls in beet cultures. More abundant chlorophyll-a, -b and carotenoid content were obtained on media containing only the microalgal extracts. There were no significant root development in shoot cultures of beet
