[Peculiarities of sugar beet coenosis formation and its regulation by herbicides Favourite and Bitex]

It is considered that in Belarus before the crop harvest on the average grow 27-40 weed plants/m2. It is 4-9 times higher than the threshold of harmfulness to regulate weed plant number in sugar beet. Different spectrum of action herbicides should be applied. For example Favourite 700 SC (700 g/l metamithron) and Bitex, EC (62 g/l phenmedipham + 16 g/l desmedipham + 128 g/l etophumesate). The selection of herbicides for application in sugar beet against annual dycotyledonous weed plants should be carried out taking into account the preparations action, soil peculiarities of the concrete field, weather and other conditions. To suppress perennial weeds it is necessary to carry out weeding with glyphosate herbicides in autumn period
