Variability and precision of assessment of cruising elements in Scots pine and Austrian pine artificially established stands on Pesterska Visoravan [Serbia (Serbia and Montenegro)]
Koprivica, M.(Institut za sumarstvo, Beograd (Serbia and Montenegro))
The variability and precision of assessment of cruising elements of Scots pine and Austrian pine trees and stands was studied by sample method. The four selected characteristic stands of these tree species were established by afforestation of barrens on Pesterska Visoravan. Stand age was 25-30 years, site classes different. As for mixture, they were pure and mixed stands. The stands were highly homogeneous, with variation coefficient of volume about 25% (sample plot size 2 ares, in the form of a cicle). The sample size of 10 sample plots achieved the precision of volume assessment + - 18%, and the sample size of 15 sample plots achieved + - 14%, probability 95%.
