Genotype and environmental influence on yield stability and technological quality in wheat (Triticum aestivum ssp. vulgare)

Twenty cultivars of winter wheat developed at the breeding centers in Novi Sad and Kragujevac were grown during 1998, 1999, and 2000 in five locations (Novi Sad, Indjija, Sremska Mitrovica, Kragujevac and Zitoradja). In addition to yield, the following quality indicators were analyzed: protein content, sedimentation, wet gluten, energy and bread volume. The traits were studied using the standard statistical methods, which revealed great variation among the cultivars both between the study years and different locations.
