Problems in exploitation of modern overhead irrigation equipment

The research objective was to establish the smallest depth of soil in which it is necessary to maintain the optimum moisture by irrigation rate for high and stable corn and soybean yields. The research was conducted on soil type chernozem calcareous on loess terrace at the experimental field of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad (Serbia and Montenegro), at the location of Rimski Sancevi.
