A field experiment was conducted during the rabi season of 1998 with five levels of inter row and two intra row spacings in Factorial Randomized Block Design with four replications. The inter row spacing of 10 cm gave significantly highest number and weight of 10-20 gm, 20-40 gm as well as total tuberlets. The widest spacing of 30 cm was significantly superior in terms of number of compound leaves, number and weight of tuberlets of 20-40 gm and 40 gm size. Similarly the closer intra row spacing of 5 cm gave significantly higher number and weight of total and the other categories of tuberlets except large sized compared to the wider spacing. But the wider intra row spacing of 10 cm significantly enhanced the production of large sized ( 40 gm) tuberlets and the number of compound leaves.
