Fresh flowers, though exquisite in their beauty, have short life span, susceptible to biotic and abiotic stresses and expensive. They are available during a particular season. In spite of using suitable post-harvest technology, life of cut flowers is very short and cannot be stored for a long time. To meet this challenge, use of dried flowers, their crafts and value-added products has brought a revolutionary change. Dried flowers are nearly natural, dried, preserved and processed. In attraction, they are nearly comparative to fresh flowers and present an everlasting value. Dried flowers can be used further in bouquets, flower arrangements, flower pictures, greeting cards, flower falls, festive decoration, pomanders, sweet smelling potpourri, wall plates, landscapes etc. They have potential in substitutes for fresh flowers and foliages for interior decoration as well as for use in a variety of other artistic and commercial purposes.
