The mathematical basis is described for visually representing the properties of a 3-component pulp mixture and its components by triangular diagrams of 'composition-property'. The diagram is an equilateral triangle, the sides of which are the axes of the coordinates, and any point within it corresponds to a unit composite mixture of the pulps which had been cooked earlier. The diagram is used to forecast the properties of mixed sulfate pulps from 3 Ghanaian species, Pinus caribaea var. hondurensis, Gmelina arborea and Pinus oocarpa.
