Twenty genotypes of wheat (T. aestivum ) were sown in flooded environment for evaluation of wheat plot yield, height, ear grain number, ear grain weight and 1000- grain weight. Plot yield showed significant and positive phenotypic correlation coefficient (PCC) with ear grain yield and 1000-grain weight (P=0.01). Also 1000-grain weight showed significant PCC with ear grain weight (P=0.01). Genotypic correlation coefficients (GCC) were generally in the same direction as PCC but higher in magnitude. Only 1000-grain weight had relatively high direct effects on plot yield. Selection for improvement of wheat yield can be based on 1000-grain weight and ear grain weight in flooded environment.
