The following result were obtained when ebb and flow cultivation method using non-woven fabric pot was examined, in order to confirm the practicability of automatic watering in Phalaenopsis potted plant production. The quality remarkably improved that number of florets per stem increased in comparison with the cultivation by watering and by plastic pot of the practice of the cultivation which combined the non-woven fabric pot with ebb and flow. Compare with the normal method using watering by hend and a plastic pot, achieved a remarkable improvement in quality such as an increase in the number of florets per stem. Even in all cultivation areas on flat land and high land in Yamanashi prefecture, there were remarkable improvements in quality such as the above. This cultivation method is possible immediately after taking the seedling out of the flask. It seems that it is also possible to carry out year-raund Phalanopsis production, at an altitudo of 820 meters after the seedling is taken out of the flask. This method has the potential to produce more than 10 florets after a period of 16 months.
