The effect on the number of new houses and carbon stock by increasing lifetime and wooden structure ratio of new houses

Change of floor area of new houses and carbon stock was examined with changing lifetime and wooden structure ratio of new houses. This research assumed that the number of newly constructed houses is equal to the demolished floor area in each year and total floor area of houses is to hold the constant value. When lifetime of houses was increased to 35 and 45 years from 25 years of present, floor area of new houses was decreased to 44.9% and 75.0% respectively from the maximum value. However the decrease of floor area remains in the temporary, and later it shows slow recovery. The number of floor area of new houses was finally expected to be a constant value. On the other hand, when wooden structure ratio was increased to 60%, 65% and 70% from 55% of present, carbon stock gain of 3.7%, 7.4% and 11.2% respectively was expected. Examining from the view of carbon release, carbon release for constructing houses and manufacturing materials was decreased temporally with decreasing floor area of new houses.
