The farming status of Korean native oriental honeybee and the quality of honey produced from the 5 areas (Sanne, Namwon;Toji, Gurye;Cheongam, Hadong;Shicheon, Sancheong;Macheon, Hamyang) around Jiri Mountain was investigated. The Korean native oriental honeybee cultured around Jiri Mountain was 122,470 colonies which corresponded to 33% of total oriental honeybee colonies cultured in Korea.
