Perceptions of married women towards different rituals of marriage andimpact of marriage ordinance

The main objective of the study was to study the variation if any in theattitudes of the respondents of different characteristics i.e. income andoccupation towards Marriage Ordinance Act 1997, (XXI). The universe for thepresent study was Gulberg Colony, Faisalabad city. A multistage random samplingtechnique was used to select a sample of 100 households. In each of the samplehouse one marred female was selected as respondents of the study. The datawere collected through comprehensive interview schedule. The data were analyzedstatistically. The main findings show that there is no association between theincome and occupation of the respondents and the extent of their favorabilitytowards Marriage Ordinance.
