The results permitted to carry out a quantitative analyses of the arable land in conditions of different land configuration. The dynamics of soil water content in the unsaturated zone was studied during vegetation period in 1996 and 97. The dynamics of soil moisture and water balance was shown. The soil water management determines the amount of water available for plants in the growing season as well as the amount of water percolating trough the soil to ground water
