Milk protein polymorphism in different genetic groups of cows in Central-East Poland
Barlowska, J.(Akademia Rolnicza, Lublin (Poland). Zaklad Oceny i Wykorzystania Surowcow Zwierzecych)
The analysis of polymorphism of milk proteins included 635 Black-White cows and their crossbreds with varying HF blood protein as well as 77 Jerseys and their F crossbreds with BW. The results indicate that addition of Holstein-Friesian blood affected change in the percent proportion of genotypes in the population of local Black-and-White cattle as far as beta-casein and kappa-casein are concerned. Clear-cut differences were observed in 3 fractions of the analysed milk proteins, that is beta-lactoglobuline, alpha s1-casein and beta-casein.The differences referred to Jerseys and F1 crossbreds with this breed and Black-and-White cattle
