Grafting of maidenhair tree (Glinkgo biloba L.) with two different varieties in the summer term

In the first decade of July meidenhair tree was grafted, using 2-3 buds annual grafts, on 4 year old root-stocks grown in containers. For grafting grafts of "Kazimierz Wielki" and "Pragense" varieties were used. Two types of grafting were used: slice grafting and sideveneer grafting. In the experiment from 72.5 to 90 percent of grafting was successful. The percentage of successful grafting and the length of annual shoots was influenced by the way of grafting. Better appeared to be slice grafting
